Why don’t I see the redaction on the preview?

The preview is only to view the PDF. The redaction rectangles are applied when you click Apply Redaction.

What coordinate system is used?

Rectangles are stored relative to the drawing area (normalized 0–1), then mapped to the selected PDF pages.

Is metadata removed?

Enable Remove metadata to clear common document metadata fields.
